What in the Hell is Insurance?

Many people would be stumped at this question.  I mean, come on, what the hell is it?  I can't see it, hold it, touch it, or eat it!  But I sure can feel it's effects on the bank statement every month!  And I hope to never experience the primary use of insurance because if I do, it usually means, something terrible has just happened.  I sure hope that doesn't ever happen.  And that is all we have - is a hope and a prayer, that the unexpected never happens....But what if it does?  Here is what Insurance is....

Insurance is a promise to help return, you - the owner, back to the financial or material status as you were before the event took place.

It takes some hard swallowing to pay for policies that are just some promise in which you hope never to have to use.  But this promise is so important when the unexpected happens and we look for someone to help us get things back to normal -- Who will protect all your possessions?  Who will pay for a new car after it was totaled in that storm?  Who will build your family a new home after it burned?  How will you get your business back up and running?  How will your family continue to live life as they always had when the bills still require two incomes to sustain them?

As Your Agent - this is what I promise to do for you - help you to assess your personal risks, obtain appropriate coverage explained in words you understand to off set that risk, a partnership to review and amend those coverages because your life and needs change, and finally I offer you the PROMISE to be there, every step of the way and - most importantly - in your times of need.  That is the promise I am offering to you.  Will you accept?
